Websites on WordPress.

Business websites on WordPress: a theme written for your design, a short plugin list, and content your own team runs.

We write the theme for your design instead of stretching a bought template over it, and keep only the plugins that are genuinely needed. Your editors get the fields and sections they actually publish, so a new page does not need a developer. Jølstad's funeral planner has run on WordPress since 2016, Agrosec's catalogue since 2018.

Pick this when

  • Content is your product: a company site, a publication, documentation, a catalogue.
  • Your editors should add pages themselves, without breaking the layout.
  • You have a page-builder theme behind you and want out.

WordPress has a bad name because most sites on it are built the short way: a bought template, a page builder on top and a plugin for every feature. Two years later nobody wants to touch it, because nobody knows what will break. We build it the way software gets built.

A theme written for your design

The theme comes out of your design instead of a template that has to be stretched over it. The site carries exactly the sections and fields you publish, and as much code as that takes. It costs more than a bought template at the start and less at every change after that.

A short plugin list

Every plugin is code somebody else maintains on a schedule you do not control. Eight is usually enough: ACF for content structure, forms with an archive of submissions, catalogue filtering, SEO, security, and WooCommerce in shops. Versions are locked and updates are prepared on a copy of the site.

Two languages without a translation plugin

A multilingual site runs on WordPress Multisite: one install, one codebase and a separate site per language, each with its own URLs and content. That is how this site works, infigo.pl and infigo.dev. Plugins like WPML bolt a second content model onto a single site, and broken URLs are the usual result.

Jølstad

The websites of Norway's largest funeral bureau and of the rest of its group. One design became two multilingual networks on WordPress Multisite and a separate site for each further bureau. Built in 2022, maintained by us since.

What we won't do

  • Elementor, Divi, WPBakery or any other page builder.
  • Twenty-four plugins, one per feature, for what a theme does in fifty lines of code.
  • A SaaS on WordPress. That is an application, not a website.

Common questions

Can you take over and fix an existing WordPress site?

Yes, after a paid takeover audit. We read the code first and tell you in writing whether it can be maintained as it is. If it can, we go through the plugins one by one and keep only the ones the site needs.

What about WooCommerce - can you do a real shop?

Yes, for catalogues up to a few thousand SKUs with custom rules - multi-currency, B2B pricing, configurators, integrations with ERP, payment and shipping. Above that, WooCommerce stops being the right tool and we steer you to either headless Woo (Laravel frontend, WP admin) or a different platform entirely. We’ll tell you in the first reply.

How do you handle a multi-language site?

With WordPress Multisite: one site per language, each with its own content, URLs and settings, under one install and one codebase. It is how this very site runs (infigo.pl and infigo.dev). Every string in the theme is translatable the standard WordPress way, and the content lives in the CMS, so your editors own the translations. We don’t layer WPML or Polylang on top - a translation plugin bolted onto a single site is a second content model to maintain and the usual source of broken URLs.

Do you use a page builder like Elementor or Divi?

No. On every site we have shipped, we build a custom theme and structure content with ACF Flexible Content, so editors compose pages from modules we designed. No Elementor, Divi or WPBakery.
