Urbanium AS is a residential developer in the Oslo region, developing and selling homes across the city and its central suburbs since 2003. INFIGO built the custom-theme WordPress site that put its pipeline of projects on show.
01 · The context
The projects are the sales argument
For a developer, the portfolio is the pitch. At the time of the build Urbanium held land for around a thousand residential units, and the site’s whole job was to make those developments feel real and worth wanting - which meant the portfolio, and the movement between projects, had to be the best-built parts of the site rather than a gallery slapped on at the end.
02 · The build
A theme built to present work
We coded the supplied design into a custom WordPress theme centred on the project listing, with filters so a visitor narrows to the kind of home or location they are after. Custom slider animations carry them through each development, giving the projects room to breathe instead of stacking them as thumbnails.
Navigation was treated as part of the experience rather than plumbing: a large full-screen animated menu that opens with intent and keeps the polished feel consistent from the front page to the last project.
What we delivered
- A custom WordPress theme centred on an image-led project portfolio.
- Filterable project listings with custom slider animations.
- A full-screen animated navigation with a built-in enquiry path.
