Strømbergs Plast

Strømbergs Plast AS has helped large and small companies handle their waste with tailor-made solutions for over twenty years. INFIGO built the custom-theme WordPress site that presented that range and got buyers to the right equipment.

01 · The context

A catalogue, not a brochure

For a supplier whose business is a broad range of waste-handling equipment, the site lives or dies on the product listing. A visitor arrives knowing roughly what they need - a container for a fish farm, sorting bins for a school - and has to reach it fast. So the build put products at the centre and organised everything else around getting people there.

02 · The build

Two filter axes and a form in the right place

We coded the supplied design into a custom WordPress theme and ran the product listing on FacetWP, filtering by industry and by category at the same time. Those two axes are how this market actually thinks: what business the buyer is in, then what kind of equipment they need.

The rest of the site is the supporting cast that earns trust before the enquiry: a substantial categorised FAQ, a blog, an about page with a full employee directory so the company reads as people rather than a logo, and a pop-up price-request form on the products themselves.

03 · The long haul

Re-platformed, eventually

The company has since moved its site onto a different platform built by others. The version here is the one that did the selling in the years between - and the shape of it, industry-first filtering with the enquiry form where the interest is, is still how a catalogue site for this kind of supplier should work.

What we delivered

  • A custom WordPress theme built faithfully from the supplied design.
  • FacetWP filtering by industry and category with live counts.
  • A categorised FAQ, a blog, and a full employee directory.
  • Per-product price-request forms built on Contact Form 7.

Products at the centre of the site

Two decades of tailor-made waste-handling equipment, opened up as a catalogue: sorting, material handling, environmental tech, park and outdoor gear. The landing page routes a buyer into the range instead of past it.

Filtered by industry, then by category

The listing filters two ways at once - pick your industry, fish farming to food processing, then narrow by product category, with live counts on every option. A buyer cuts the whole range down to the handful that fits their setup in a couple of clicks.

The enquiry, caught at the right moment

Every product page can open a price-request form in place - name, contact details, message, consent - so the enquiry happens at the moment of interest instead of on a distant contact page. For made-to-order equipment, that form is the checkout.
