Parkettstudio

Parkettstudio is a Norwegian wood-flooring supplier - parquet, solid plank, pattern floors and poured design floors, sold to people building or renovating a home. INFIGO built the site it ran on from 2017 to 2023.

01 · The context

A flooring buyer is choosing between materials, not browsing a shop.

Nobody arrives at a flooring supplier wanting to see everything. They arrive with a room, a budget and a vague sense that there is a difference between engineered parquet and solid plank without being able to say what it is.

So the job of the site is not to list stock. It is to help somebody work out which category of floor they are actually shopping for, and then to make the next step obvious.

02 · The build

The catalogue organised the way the decision is made.

The range is split by what the buyer is choosing between rather than by manufacturer: solid wood, engineered parquet, pattern floors laid stave by stave, and industrial or poured design floors. Each category leads with the reason somebody would pick it, in a sentence, before any product detail.

That framing runs through the rest of the site. The company sells a process, not a product off a shelf - planning, laying, sanding, treatment, floor levelling, underfloor heating, sound insulation - and it closes with a conversation and a site visit rather than a basket. The site is built to get to that conversation, with an editorial section carrying the search visibility that keeps a regional supplier findable.

03 · The long haul

Six years on one build.

The site ran on the theme we wrote for it from 2017 until at least 2023 - the lifespan of a typical small-business website, twice over, on a single build. It has since been replaced by a rebuild that is not ours: the ordinary retirement of a site that served its full term.

What we delivered

  • A WordPress build for a wood-flooring supplier, organised by material category rather than by stock.
  • Category pages written around the decision a buyer is actually making.
  • An editorial section carrying search visibility for a regional business.

A hero that asks the only question that matters

Finn ditt nye gulv hos oss - find your new floor with us. One promise, two routes: ask for a quote, or browse the range. The site opens the way the business works, with a conversation or a catalogue, and nothing competing for the click.

02

A catalogue with a point of view

The products page does not start with products. It starts with why wood - craftsmanship in dialogue with the customer, nature as the raw material, and certified, sustainable sourcing - and only then opens the categories: plank, solid wood, pattern floors, engineered parquet.

A company with a face

The about page carries the history of pattern floors and puts the daily leader on the page, name and photograph. For a regional supplier selling a craft, being visibly run by real people is part of the product.
