Nytrapp

Nytrapp is a Norwegian staircase manufacturer with more than a decade on the market and thousands of staircases delivered. INFIGO built the WordPress site that shows that work off.

01 · The context

A catalogue that should feel good to move through

For a maker whose product is judged on craft, a flat list of photos would undersell it. The brief leaned hard on user experience: readability first, then the sort of considered motion that makes browsing the finished work feel deliberate rather than dutiful.

02 · The build

Animation with readability underneath

We coded the supplied design into WordPress with the interaction built in, not bolted on afterwards. An animated slider carries several transition effects and stays smooth on the front end, so the movement reads as polish and never gets in the way of reading the page.

The two working parts sit behind that surface: a reference gallery whose categories the team manages from the admin, and a categorised FAQ where every answer can be rated by the reader.

03 · The long haul

Still selling staircases

The site went live in 2019 and is still the company’s storefront today, on the build described here. For a small manufacturer that is the whole test: the site kept working, so nobody had to buy a new one.

What we delivered

  • A WordPress build with the design’s motion implemented, not approximated.
  • A category-filtered reference gallery managed from the admin.
  • A categorised FAQ with per-answer reader ratings.
  • A 2019 build still live today.

A first screen that asks the buyer's question

Hva slags trapp er du interessert i - what kind of staircase are you after? The site opens on that choice, with the photography carrying the craft argument beside it. Built in 2019, and still the site the company sells from.

Finished work, filtered

The reference gallery groups delivered staircases into admin-managed categories - design stairs, projects and commercial, spirals, timber - so a visitor filters straight to the kind of work they came to see.

Answers you can rate

Every FAQ answer carries a rating control, so readers score whether it actually helped. The team sees which answers land and which need rewriting - the help section improves itself on real signal.
