NovusMetal is a Polish metals supplier - non-ferrous metals, stainless and specialty steels, supplied to manufacturers across the country from several handling hubs. INFIGO built their site: part catalogue, part working reference, part tool.
01 · The context
A metals buyer is not browsing. They are looking something up.
The person who lands on a stockist’s website has a drawing on the desk and a material specification to satisfy. They do not want a brand story, they want to know whether this supplier carries the grade, what its properties are, and roughly what the piece will weigh on the truck.
Most supplier sites answer none of that and lead with a mission statement. This one is built to answer all three.
02 · The build
Family, grade, weight.
The catalogue is structured the way the decision is made: alloy family first, individual grades beneath, each grade with its own page and the data a technical buyer checks. That structure is also what search engines reward - every grade is a page somebody can land on directly from a query.
On top of the catalogue sits the weight calculator, a small Vue.js application embedded in the WordPress build: shape, dimensions, alloy, weight. It is the question every order eventually comes down to, answered on the site instead of over the phone.
03 · The long haul
Live, on the build described here.
novusmetal.pl runs on this build today. It is also one of the portfolio’s Polish cases - a direct client relationship, serving the kind of industrial B2B company the region is full of and most agencies overlook.
What we delivered
- A WordPress catalogue for a metals supplier, organised by alloy family and grade.
- Grade-level pages built as working reference material.
