Limaco supplies construction equipment to professionals and individuals - an authorised reseller for a range of brands that also rents machines and services what it sells. INFIGO built the shop that had to do all of it at once.

01 · The context

A catalogue with two minds

Selling a machine and renting one are not the same transaction. A sale needs a quantity and a price. A rental needs dates - from when, until when - and a price that follows from them. Limaco’s catalogue had to hold both modes side by side, and the usual answer, a rental plugin taped over a standard shop, is exactly the kind of seam that shows at the checkout.

02 · The build

WooCommerce, taught to rent

We built a custom WooCommerce theme from the supplied design and made the two modes native. A product declares whether it is for sale or for hire, and the catalogue, the product page and the order flow adapt to it - the rental side books a period instead of counting stock, which touches everything from the order form to how a booking is recorded.

Around the shop sits the rest of the business: servicing, repairs, and a Contact Form 7 enquiry path for everything a catalogue cannot answer on its own.

03 · The long haul

What this case keeps

The live site has since been rebuilt by another supplier on a page-builder setup. What this case keeps is the part that was genuinely hard and still is: a shop that treats renting as its own transaction rather than a checkbox on a product.

What we delivered

  • A custom WooCommerce build with sale and rental as first-class modes.
  • Date-range rental ordering that books a period rather than a unit count.
  • Service and repair content with a direct enquiry path.
01

One shop, two transactions

The storefront opens on the whole business at once - buy a machine, rent one, or book a repair. A product knows which kind it is and the shop behaves accordingly, so the buyer is never confused about which transaction they are in.

02

A rental books a period, not a quantity

On a rental machine the product page asks from when and until when, date and hour, before the order is placed. That one difference is what separates a real rental store from a webshop with the word rent on it.
