Omitel is a Polish office that designs electrical, teletechnical and building-automation installations. INFIGO designed and built its site.
01 · The context
Not every job is a platform.
This is a small business site for a technical design office, and it is in this portfolio precisely because not every piece of work is a platform. The office needed to be findable, to state its disciplines clearly, and to show what it had delivered. That is the whole brief, and inflating it would have been the wrong service.
It is also one of the few in this portfolio where INFIGO did the design as well as the build.
02 · The build
Four pages, doing four jobs.
Design services, investor supervision, completed projects, contact. Built as a custom WordPress theme rather than a purchased template, so the office can keep its own project list current without help.
03 · The long haul
Still running, and now showing its age.
The site is still live on the theme we wrote for it, which is the better part of a decade of service from a small build. It is also overdue attention: the WordPress underneath it has not moved since 2018 and is long out of support, and the certificate situation means modern browsers do not treat the site kindly.
Longevity is worth something, but it is not the same as being maintained, and this is the honest example of the difference. A site can keep doing its job for years after anyone last looked at it, right up until the afternoon it cannot.
